Eureka Clusters

CELTIC-NEXT - EUROGIA - ITEA - PENTA-EURIPIDES² - SMART

The Eureka Clusters are industry-driven R&D programmes with thematic communities of experts. They stimulate pan-European collaboration between large companies, SMEs, RTOs and universities.

Eureka Cluster projects are:

• Help SMEs scale up in consortia with large companies

Eureka Clusters offer:

• Opportunities for funding transnational R&D&I consortia in a fast and efficient way within a global network

• Projects initiated by companies in line with national priorities

• A community of the best companies and knowledge institutes, aiming at economic impact through R&D&I

• Options to integrate along the whole value chain, involving end-users, labs, startups, SMEs and large companies

• Support of experts with an industrial experience to ensure project relevance, quality and value creation for all project partners

CELTIC-NEXT

CELTIC-NEXT is the Eureka R&D and innovation Cluster for next-generation ”end-to-end“ information and communications technologies, enabling a secure, reliable and sustainable digital society. Its mission is to foster and help the European (and wider) ICT community, to accelerate the uptake of advanced ICT 5G (and satellite) services and to lead in the ownership and implementation of 6G in Europe with a high degree of European sovereignty. It is crucial to consolidate the position of European manufacturers and service providers needed for the digital (r)evolution in key business areas, such as: industry 4.0, logistics, automotive telecom, blockchain, fintech, e-health and care, big data, AI, smart cities, smart homes, etc.

EUROGIA

EUROGIA supports international partnerships developing innovative projects in low-carbon energy technologies. It supports and promotes innovative energy technology projects with the aim of mitigating climate change and it adresses all innovative energy technologies that will reduce the carbon footprint of energy production or develop new technologies for energy, such as solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, energy efficiency, etc.

ITEA

ITEA is the Eureka R&D and innovation Cluster for software innovation and digital transition. It covers a wide range of business opportunities facilitated by digitalisation, like smart mobility, healthcare, smart cities and energy, manufacturing, engineering and safety, and security. ITEA pushes important technology fields like artificial intelligence, big data, simulation and high-performance computing into concrete business applications.

PENTA

PENTA is a Eureka Cluster whose purpose is to catalyse R&D and innovation in areas of micro and nanoelectronics enabled systems and applications. The PENTA programme enables the development of electronic solutions to help drive the digital economy through the formation of collaborative ecosystems along the Electronic Components and System value chain. Key application areas include mobility, energy, digital industry, health and wellbeing, agrifood and natural resources and digital society.

EURIPIDES²

EURIPIDES² is a Eureka Cluster in the area of Smart Electronic Systems and covers the whole electronic systems integration value chain, from materials, equipment and technologies, components and modules to embedded, enmeshed and implanted systems. Key application areas include mobility, energy, digital industry, health and wellbeing, agrifood and natural resources and digital society.

SMART

SMART is the Eureka Cluster on advanced manufacturing. SMART’s mission is to boost the competitiveness, growth and attractiveness of European discrete manufacturing industries. Key sectors include aeronautics, automotive, capital goods, railways and consumer durables.
