MineSense Technologies Ltd. is revolutionising the mining industry with a unique technology that creates ore visibility and ore body knowledge at the extraction face.
The ShovelSense system is installed on existing shovel buckets and provides a bucket-by-bucket analysis of ore grade and characteristics in real-time. Through data analytics at the mine face, operators are empowered to route waste and ore accurately in the mine, resulting in reduced ore losses and dilution while optimising mill feed ore concentration.
The technology has already improved the selective recovery of economic copper from defined non-economic rock by 4 % and the selective rejection of non-economic rock from defined economic copper ore by 4 %, thus enhancing the potential for profit.
